Who We Are
We’re a small team of individuals who are passionate about the web and technologies surrounding the web. We believe it’s our duty to make the web a better place by using our talents to help businesses of all kinds. Located west of Grand Rapids in the small town of Allendale, MI.
How It All Started
In 2000, BizStream formed as an intranet development firm (under the former name of Schmidt Technologies). In 2000, we began designing a highly customized intranet portal for a large multinational corporation. By late 2001, the first BizStream portal system was fully deployed. In 2003, we expanded our services to include all aspects of streamlining your business.

Mark Schmidt - Founder / Senior Developer
Mark Schmidt is passionate about building and maintaining a team of highly skilled people that love what they do and enjoy doing it every day of the year. He strongly believes that having people like this on the team provide unmeasurable benefits to BizStream and our clients. He has a crazy love for web tech, data, coffee and music (the more obscure the better). Mark is always looking forward to the future and what technology trends might help him, his clients or anyone else he knows, in their business. He loves his wife and is ridiculously happy to be a dad.
Brian McKeiver - Partner / Senior Developer
Brian McKeiver looks like he is about 16 yrs old, but BizStream assures you we're not breaking any child labor laws by having Brian a part of our team. In fact, Brian has over 12 years of experience that he brings to the team. Outside of his excitement for software platforms and technologies that can help solve real world problems, Brian can be found hanging out with his wife, chasing around his three children or vigorously rooting for the Michigan State Spartans and Detroit Lions. (I know, right? Who still roots for the Lions?)
Tom Hughes - Advisor
Tom Hughes is the senior advisor, business coach and cheerleader here. He brings years of hands on business and sales expertise to BizStream.
Tom's expertise co-founding, growing and managing a $7 million dollar technology company is a valuable asset. When not working on business and sales strategies you will most likely find Tom training for one of his endurance competitions.

Cory Vanden Bout - Senior Web Developer
Cory Vanden Bout plays a key role in product development and product support here at BizStream. When Cory isn't developing at BizStream, you can find him winning championships in local dodgeball or kickball leagues.
Sterling Heibeck - Senior Web Developer
Sterling Heibeck has been slinging code since 1995. His role at BizStream is not only about raising the median age of the group, but he brings a multitude of talent to the table when it comes to architecture, design, development, and all around awesomeness. To Sterling development is 95% problem solving and 5% Google. The answer is always yes when the question of "Can we do [insert anything here]" comes up.
Adam Reece - Web Designer
You could say Adam Reece is the eye candy of BizStream... as long as we're talking about the web. Driven by beautiful design and beautiful code, Adam brings a wealth of knowledge and experience when it comes to designing and developing for the web.
Albert Hovingh - Web Developer
Yet another graduate of Grand Valley State University's Computer Science department, Albert is following his passion for creating web applications at the professional level. Don't let his calm demeanor fool you though, he is a shark when it comes to foosball and anything XBox related.
Anthony Everitt - Web Developer
Anthony Everitt is a new face from a new school, Ferris State University, where he is studying to get a Software Engineering degree. In his free time you can see him out on the Links or in front of his computer playing a RPG.
Lenny Teske - Account Manager
Lenny Teske brings a variety of sales experience to BizStream. As a magic enthusiast, Lenny has been known to pull off a little magic here and there, but don't worry, he hasn't perfected the art of making people disappear...yet.
Bonny Schmidt - Accountant
Bonny Schmidt is the queen of checks and balances around BizStream, literally. Bonny keeps BizStream in order in more ways than just finances. When Bonny isn't at BizStream she is spending her time with her husband and two adorable daughters, Addison and Mya.
