On March 6, 2019, team BizStream took a break from their work and gathered around tables and tables of non-perishable food items to assemble Supper Packs for Kids’ Food Basket.
Kids’ Food Basket
is an organization in West Michigan whose mission is to nourish children to reach their full potential in school and in life. One of the methods they use to support their mission is by distributing Supper Packs to school-age children so they do not go hungry at night. Each Sack Supper contains one serving of fruit, one serving of vegetables, one serving of protein and a healthy snack. Supper Packs represent the non-perishable items that are put into each Sack Supper. With the rough weather Michigan has been experiencing this winter, there was an increased need for Sack Suppers and Supper Packs.
BizStream is a strong supporter of education and technology in the community. BizStream demonstrates its belief in our Core Value, Care, by donating time and funds to help children in the community through such a great organization like Kids’ Food Basket (Grand Rapids and Holland locations). This was the third Kids’ Food Basket event BizStream has hosted. This time around, BizStream increased the number of Supper Packs assembled from 1,000 to 2,000, bringing BizStream’s grand total to over 4,000.
The following companies donated their time and money to help with our most recent Kids’ Food Basket project: Brusveen Chiropractic
, Allendale True Value Hardware
, ACRE AgTech
, and Countryside Greenhouse.
With four assembly lines going, the
2,000 Supper Packs were assembled, packed and loaded into a U-haul for delivery to Kids’ Food Basket in Grand Rapids, MI. Everyone had a great time! Even our smallest helpers were having a good time helping those in need!
