BizStream is hosting a session at Tech Week Grand Rapids 2026, the region’s week-long showcase of technology and innovation running September 14 through 19. Our session, How Agentic AI Is Shaping the Future of Marketing, runs Tuesday, September 15, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at Grand Rapids Community College’s Secchia Piazza. Like nearly every Tech Week event, it’s free to attend.
If you haven’t been, Tech Week Grand Rapids is worth clearing your calendar for. It runs as an unconference, which means the programming comes from the community rather than a single stage. More than 120 independently hosted events fill six days, drawing roughly 15,000 attendees across Kent County and the surrounding region. You build your own schedule based on what you actually want to learn, so it’s worth browsing the full 2026 schedule and filling out your week.
The 2026 kickoff features Daymond John and Robert Herjavec, and the rest of the week spans everything from cybersecurity forums to student showcases to hands-on AI workshops. Tech Week’s advisory board named agentic AI and practical AI adoption as priority themes for 2026, so expect a lot of good conversation on both. It’s also one of the few weeks all year where the West Michigan tech community is in one place.
Some marketing teams have spent the last year or two getting comfortable with AI that writes and summarizes. Far fewer have started working with agentic AI. These are systems that take multi-step action inside your workflows, and working with them changes how you think about process, oversight, and what your team hands off.
We work on this from both sides. BizStream builds and supports the content platforms, websites, and marketing infrastructure our clients run their programs on, and our own marketing team uses agentic tools in production for competitive research, reporting, and content operations. Our AI Solutions and Automation Consulting practice grew out of that same work.
That includes the platforms themselves. The CMSs marketing teams build on are adding agentic capabilities directly into their products, and each one is going about it differently. Those choices shape what your team can realistically automate, how much you have to build yourself, and how fast a good idea makes it into a live campaign.
So we put together a session that skips the hype and gets into what’s working, what isn’t, and what to try first.
AI didn’t just hand marketing teams new tools. It’s changing how the work gets done.
This session breaks down what agentic marketing actually looks like in practice. We’ll cover where AI is disrupting the fundamentals of marketing, how agents take on the repetitive parts of content, campaigns, and reporting, and what that frees teams up to focus on instead.
Because the platform matters as much as the strategy, we’ll also look at how agentic marketing plays out across the different CMSs teams build on. We’ll wrap up with our predictions of where this is all heading, then end with an open panel and Q&A.
Whether you’re already testing AI in your marketing or still figuring out where to start, you’ll walk away with a clearer sense of how to make agentic marketing work for your team.
The platform segment covers WordPress, Storyblok, Kentico, and Kontent.ai, with a look at what we’re building on each. You don’t need a technical background to follow along.
