Our Co-Owner and Solution Architect at BizStream, Brian McKeiver, is speaking at Beer City Code 2026 on Saturday, August 15, at Calvin University’s Fine Arts Center in Grand Rapids. BizStream is also returning as a Platinum Sponsor, continuing our support of West Michigan’s largest software development conference.
We believe in showing up for the West Michigan tech scene, and Beer City Code is one of the best chances to do it.Ā It brings together hundreds of developers, architects, and technologists from across the region for a day of technical sessions and workshops, and the conversations happening in the hallway are often just as valuable as the ones on stage. As a team that builds custom .NET and CMS solutions every day, this is our community, and we look forward to it every year.
Brian has spent more than 20 years building web applications and leading BizStream’s technical direction. He is a Kentico MVP, a Kontent.ai MVP, and a two-time Microsoft Azure MVP, and he spends much of his time now exploring how AI agents change the way developers plan, build, and ship software.
AI agents and agentic development practices are changing what it means to build software in 2026. Developers are increasingly orchestrating systems that generate and evolve code, and spending less and less time just writing lines of syntax. There are many examples of this process in front-end libraries like React, but how this is possible in ASP.NET Core and .NET 10 is still not always clear.
In this session, we explore how combining Cursor and AI agents with clear requirements and structured design systems allows developers to write less code while delivering more value. You will see how starting from a user story in JIRA, combined with design requirements in Figma components, can create working ASP.NET Core based components.
By defining intent, constraints, and architecture rules that agents can follow, you will see how we can protect clean code. And I assure you, human judgment still matters the most in this equation. By the end, walk away with custom agent instructions files to use in your daily work and a better understanding of how to increase efficiency not by just coding faster, but by orchestrating smarter.
Room 227, Saturday 10:00 am – 11:00 am
Beer City Code 2026 runs Friday, August 14 (workshops) through Saturday, August 15 (main conference). Stop by the BizStream booth on Saturday to say hi, grab some swag, and meet the team in person.
If Brian’s session has you thinking about how agentic AI fits into your own team’s process, that is exactly the kind of conversation we like to have. Our AI Solutions team helps organizations figure out where AI actually adds value in their development and marketing workflows, not just where it sounds good on paper. Get in touch if you want to talk it through.
